You won't be able to capture any of their companions either. But let's be honest, the main focus is the battle between pets — may the best tamer win! Post by Kel » May 13th, , pm Huh, odd. So you're saying the drop rate seems to go up once you get all your pets to rares? Is that just an evil trick they play on us? Currently I have a very small stash of about 4 or 5 stones, one of them is a Flawless Battle-Stone that I'm saving for something very special. But I can't do the dailies every day, and I only do the Pandaria loop.
Otherwise my wife starts hitting me in the back of the head. Apparently she feels neglected. And she's not fond of a game where you use a little human Anubisath Idol to punch bunnies till they die!

I'm going to end up spending days scouring each zone for rares. I must be a masochist or something! Post by Graven » May 14th, , pm I just use my soulbound flawless stones as beast or flying stones. I really don't see the point in saving them for a future expansion when I have pets in my collection that can use them now.
Post by Treponem » May 16th, , pm Personally, I'd sell half of them but that's only because the 8k total I'd make on my server could be ploughed back into buying some of the more elusive pets.
If the cash isn't that important to you, I'd sit on them. It's worth looking out for their active world quests because only then they are available for fighting. Unfortunately their appearance is decided randomly, so you can't plan ahead when to challenge them. Since those tamers don't stand right next to a stablemaster you should bring enough Battle Pet Bandages with you. But in return defeating these trainers also grants your character experience and that's why especially the short fights have become a popular method for leveling.
Using heirloom gear and activating warmode you can get depending on your level, you can do this as early as level 1 as much experience doing this as you would from finishing a quest. Here follows a list of the respective tamers, together with a recommended strategy and sorted by their effectiveness in powerleveling: Odrogg World quest: Snail Fight!
Once you've completed this world quest you can't challenge them again! You get less experience from them then you would get from the other tamers listed here. In return these strategies are reliable and really fast.
Since these are short fights you'll need more bandages or more teams. Other possibilities Link copied All the tamers listed have to be active to be usable for leveling the whole day. So what alternatives are there for days on which they aren't available? Therefor it is worthwhile to fight those who also give 5x the experience just like Squirt , even though they are opposable just once the day.
Admittedly you have to count in a considerable amount of time for traveling. On the other hand you can get, besides the experience obviously, other useful rewards even pets and the daily quests grant a lot of experience to your character.
The daily routes through Pandaria and Draenor are especially popular for this reason. There also is a stablemaster nearby at the temple who makes the leveling more enjoyable.
Of course you can look for good locations yourselves. It's all a matter of having the right pets to counter the wild ones. As an example for fighting aquatic pets both Golden Dawnfeather and Pterrordax Hatchling are suitable and against critters every cat with Devour will do great.
The Feline Familiar is even effective against fliers and critters, has a strong protection and also a healing ability Devour , which is the reason why it is popular for leveling in the wilderness.
To provide a safe space for your leveling pet, a Turkey and their named variants can make any non-critter target sleep with Food Coma. Look out for it in your calendar and prepare your teams. With those it is possible to execute an entire pet battle just by pressing one button.
The addon works for Squirt including healing via the nearby NPC! Now all you have to do is press the space button default setting to level up your pets without ever having to press something else.
