We observe his conscious unstable thought processes about contemplating and planning the murder of Duncan emerging shortly after hearing the prophecy, and before Lady Macbeth could hear the message and influence his decision.

At the beginning of the play Macbeth, the main character Macbeth learns that he will become King. When he realised he could be the leader, the power he desperately craves motivates him to alter his character. The Thane of Cowdar is to be executed and Macbeth was to receive the title. Lady Macbeth wants her husband to become king because she thinks he deserves it, so she wants King Duncan dead. The couple plans to murder the king in his sleep. Lady Macbeth is the more forceful character because, she wants Duncan killed and she talks Macbeth into doing it, even though, he does not want to.

Macbeth needed power, he craved it, so after the prediction by the witches to become Thane of Cawdor, he was pronounced just that. Killing king Duncan and his wife with their servants daggers; who Macbeth then killed after, Macbeth received the kingly title. Macbeth states that he is not born from a woman like the witches said in one of the prophecies rather he is ripped out of her mother 's womb.

Macduff made a decision to do the right thing which was to fight for his country and for Malcolm to be king. With that being said, what goes around does come around. This proves Macbeth has finally lost his cool know killing anyone in his way to try to stay in high power. Macbeth last quote or stand in the story is when make goes on into the war and goes ham and tries to protect his reputation, but later on meets up with Maduff and fight to the death.

Macbeth, written by William Shakespeare, is a play that mainly focuses on one common theme of insanity. Macbeth gradually becomes plagued by intense guilt as his desire for power drives him to attain his goals by any means necessary, including committing murder.

Nonetheless, they are all completed of his free will, which is what causes him to deteriorate mentally. Macbeth got everything he desired for.
