Are there jets in battlefield 2
They also tend to ruin the classic base of the game as jets are extremely hard to bring down. The recent patch has increased the velocity of AA missiles, but even so, you'll find yourself getting raped by good flying pilots.
You can switch between the two with your mousewheel. Air-to-air missiles are designed for taking out aerial threats with a signal lock-on. This includes helicopters, opposing jets, or any flying vehicle. You must keep your crosshair as close as possible to the icon, and it will lock on.
Fire, and it should track the target unless they launch out flares. The air-to-ground attack consists of bombing targets. On the ground, a hollox box will show any enemy vehicles currently occupied, or soldiers occupying AA stations. It's tough to explain and requires practice for a few hours. Planes There are two types of planes, fighters and bombers. The fighters are solo aircraft with high speed and agility. Due to their lack of effective ground ammunitions, the main role of a fighter is to attack other aircraft.
Every fighter craft is equipped with an autocannon, 6 heat seeking missiles, and 2 bombs. If you find yourself being dogged by heat flares at every attempt to missile another pilot, try switching to the autocannon to tear your opponent to shreds. Bombers can have a co-pilot and are equipped with a better armament for taking out ground based troops and vehicles. They're much more effective with a second passenger, so if you see someone running towards you, wait for him to get there. Use bombers to take out any enemy aircraft you see, as well as to target enemy Capture Points, vehicles especially tanks , and large concentrations of infantry.
Each bomber is equipped with an autocannon, 4 heat seeking missiles, 5 dumb bombs, and 20 laser guided missiles that can be controlled by the passenger. Remember, if you run out of ammunition or lose control, eject yourself from the aircraft and parachute down.
The plane or helicopter will keep flying and can be used in an almost kamikaze style while you drift down to continue fighting. Plus, this will make the plane respawn back at your base, fully reloaded, for the next person to use. There are two types of helicopters available; transport and fighters. The apache-style attack copters are two seaters with room for a pilot and a passenger.
Each attack copter is armed with 56 rockets for the pilot, while the passenger can control either an autocannon or 8 guided missiles. These rides are highly mobile, and their ability to hover in one place while laying down fire makes them devastating during an assault on a Capture Point.
Don't forget to use the flares, as helicopters are an easy target for any other enemy looking to use their heat seeking missiles. Transport helicopters are much less equipped for battle. They can carry a total of 6 people the exact number of troops in a squad including the pilot. Only the first two passengers have access to any weapons, and then it is only a turret machine gun. They do work perfectly for a squads looking to infiltrate enemy Capture Points.
If a team parachutes in dropping C4 and grenades as they fall, they should have a nice clear spot to bunker down for a battle. Join or make a squad with other pilots in it, and use VOIP, that way you can warn them when they are being engaged, or ask for support when the enemy is attacking you. With this you can also co-ordinate the ground pounders with your efforts, and if you have to ditch, have some backup when you para down. Now, this is where i tell you how to evade enemy pilots, and engage them back:.
Wait until your lock on light starts to blink then immediately gain altitude and switch to the rear view. As soon as his missile are Fox-Two, deploy your flares and take evasive action. Everybody has their own evasive maneuvers, basically you twist, turn dive and climb very quickly. Use the afterburners to make your loops, dives and turns faster and tighter.. If you have the skill, fly very dangerous paths, going under bridges, between trees, flying close to the ground, this makes his missiles less likely to kill you because there are more obstacles in their way, and the enemy pilot may make a mistake and fly into a wall or something.
Engage AIR targets. Use your bombing mode , get in close, this way there is less distance the missiles must travel, then when you are ready switch to missiles, his lock on tone will sound, spot him with your common rose, when you have lock wait for him to deploy flares, and engage, 2 missiles at a time, if he evades you, follow, he will be on your map so you can find him. Engage ground targets next, fly high around , use your bombing mode to find targets, give yourself a long run to your target, fire your MG into him up until the point when you need to drop bombs, if you need to bombing accuracy comes with time.
If the time comes for you to bail, try to aim your jet where you intend to land, the explosion will take out any enemy down there, jump out and chute down. With practice, you can aim a damaged jet into a tank or the like. Work on your Landing and taking off: Taking off is easy, everybody can do it, but to do it fast, just use afterburners until you lift off..
Landing, reduce speed different jets have different times , level off and land. It's far easier than using a flight stick. Post by Ghost The flight Control system in this game really suck, it doesn't even contrl well so try to shoot or lock on some target alsmot impossible.
They should have change to something more easy for people to control like the flight system they use for Joint Operation from Nova Logic. As for the flight system control as long as ethy don't improve it I will not buy the game, after all I think Joint Operation is far better.
