Can you vlookup from excel to access

I have an Excel worksheet where users enter a list of part numbers. They also need to enter the description of the part numbers. Some of these part numbers already exist in a Access database and to make life easier for the users it would be nice if we could use the VLOOKUP function to find the descriptions of the part numbers in the database and populate the worksheet.

Our database is an MDE file which links back to a part number table. I am unable to bring the part number data from the data base to excel due to the list of part numbers is nearing K. Any help will be greatly appreciated. As I understand you want know how to use the Vlookup function to access the data from other data sources. Let me assist you with the issue. If there is a similar command for referencing Access, I could start there. Have you tried Dlookup? Add a comment. Active Oldest Votes. Hope this helps. Improve this answer. Percy X Percy X 1 3 3 bronze badges.
